When I try to start Visual Studio .NET it displays briefly, shows a preparing to install message box, then shuts down.

I followed the steps in article 306905 PRB: Visual IDE Does Not Open When Started or Application Cannot Start Error Messag
But none of that worked

I'm running XP SP2 with the latest .NET framework. Any suggestions

Hi Sulu

Rename the Office10 directory in order to delete the MSO.DLL file
Re-run the installation program
