I have error on my visual studio. NET enterprice architect 2003
setup. It says that "Some components must be installed in directory.
Check that you have write permission or enough space in a directory."
What is wrong?

I had exactly the same problem during the installation of VS2005 and managed to find (a very unsatisfying) solution.

My harddrive has 2 partitions, assigned to C and D. I noticed that my D-partition was not available in any view of the installer.

I assigned another drive letter (G) to it, and plugged in an extnal USB-drive (assigned F). Now the installer showed C and F and still not G. But the error message is gone and it seems to install perfectly now ..
