visual studio .net setup: I have a win 2k advanced server with the framework 1.0 and it has always worked fine

Recently I upgraded and patched my 2000 server with the lastest service pack

Now the visual Studio still works. However, if I run it in debug mode I get

Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server. Catastrophic failure. Would you like to disable future attempts to debug ASP.NET pages for this project

Do I need to upgrade? If so, will an upgrade to 2003 fix the problem? And will 2003 work with the framework 1.1

Have you tried to re-register IIS/ASP.NET on your machine using regiis
