Hi

Installing Visual Studio .NET 2003 on a Win XP Pro system

Have done the IIS intall and frontpage setip etc... no problems
On insertion of prerequisite disk, message says some componets missing etc, click thru etc to install etc... needs a reboot

There lies the problem.... it reboots and gets as far as xp load up screen, then reboots, then again and again... continuous rebooting... cannot get in in safe mode, last known working, debugging mode etc... re installed xp, got as far as prerequisite again and same problem occurred after that disk

System is an AMD 2200+ with 256mb DDR, 120GB HDD, VIA KM400A + VIA8237 chipset motherboard..

Please help.

Thank

Nothing unusual about your hardware. I run AMD/VIA/NForce2 stuff at home
with no problems installing/using Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional
Edition.
Your problem is mystifying, but I see one faint possibility. After
installing XP Pro, you do install SP1a, correct?
If not, try that (as a shot in the dark).
