VS2003 side by side with VS6.0? -- visual studio .net setup

Is it safe to install VS.NET 2003 (architect) on the same PC where I am
already running VS 6.0? I am running XP Pro with SP1, yet to install IIS.

The original plan was to install it on a different test PC running W2000,
but the motherboard died two hours before my intended install (and two
months after warranty expiration).

Any helpful tips on such install would be appreciated; thanks in advance.

I had VS6 and VS.NET 2002 installed side by side on a W2K machine with no evident problems, and I am about to do the same on a new laptop with XP pro.

You won't get any problems. I have this setup. I currently have VS6, .Net
2002 and .Net 2003 all on the same computer. The only (minor) thing I don't
have is the help for .Net 2002 (but I don't care).
