deployment. The professor insists that students must be members of the
"admin" group. I think in some cases that may be true, but in general lower

I keep getting the error internal error 25003 when trying to install the software
after browsing the newsgroups and the msdn, i have discovered that the source of this problem is that hte media is corrupt.

I've downloaded and burned the 2005 cds 1 and 2 and verified that the checksums from the iso files match those generated from the cd (ie - i know the cd burned correctly)
I've also extracted the .iso file to a directory on the server and tried the install from there.

I want to install Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise Developer. 19 CDs were delivered to me. Out of them there are 2 dics named Disc1 and Disc2. Can anybody guide me as to how I should go about with the installation. How long will it take for the installation?

after installing Office 2003 on my windows XP Profesisonal system,
when starting Visual Studio .net 2003, the Windows installer pooped in
and wanted to configure Visio. Since I was not in my office then, I

I cant' install VS .Net 2005, because when I tryed from my
DVD drive after a few minutes ask me for "English Disk 1",
if I copy all the DVD for my hard dysk I obtain an error
unpacking one cab file.

I saw a 6/2/04 post from Max Palmer and saw that he was getting the same error message trying to install VS .NET 2003 on XP with SP1. My take is that the problem in .NET 2002 wasn't correct... more >>

I'm running Windows 2000 with SP 4 and have been unable to install VS .NET 2002.
While looking around the VS .NET Support site, I found a 6/2/04 post titled "Many problems installing VS .NET 2003" by Max Palmer that had the same error messages I'm getting.

"Common Setup Files 3790.0" runs EVERY TIME I start VS. I did about 4
things the other day, and I suspect one of them caused this to setup to
stick: 1) Uninstall Outlook Express 2) Uninstall Internet Explorer (from

Hello,
I have created an msi which calls an executable as a custom action. If
an error occurs inside the custom action exe and I throw it, the
exception is treated as unhandled. Is there a way for me send the
error back to the msi when my custom action is an executable?

I have Visual Studio.NET 2002 (academic) installed. In the interest of tidiness I'd prefer to drop my shiny new VC++.NET 2003 Standard on top of this. Is this a practical, sensible thing to do?
