visual studio .net setup: I've downloaded and burned the 2005 cds 1 and 2 and verified that the checksums from the iso files match those generated from the cd (ie - i know the cd burned correctly)
I've also extracted the .iso file to a directory on the server and tried the install from there.

I get essentially random failures reading various cab files - i can open the specified cab files manually with no trouble.

Retry does nothing.
