HELP! - VS.NET 60 Eval - CD appears to be is Blank! Bill
8/15/2004 11:01:34 AM
visual studio .net setup:
I can read other CD's fine from this Drive (software installs and audio).
Preparing for MCAD and need this resolved ASAP.

I have several ASP.NET Sample Apps and ASP.NET Components via ASP.NET
Starter Sample Pack that all work fine with the following drive, machine and
os configuration.

Please help!

CD RW Hardware:
* Brand : LG CD-RW CED-8041B
* Driver Provider: Microsoft,
* Drive Date : 7/1/2001,
* Driver Version : 5.1.2535.0,
* Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows XP Publisher.

OS and PC Hardware:
* MS Windows XP Pro 2002, Serv Pack 1
* Processor : AMD Athlon Processor, 850 MHz, 256 MB Ram

Also installed on same machine:
* .Net Framework 1.0
* .Net Framework 1.1
* ASP.NET WebMatrix
* FrontPage
* IIS (anonymous access via machine/administrator user, IIS can
change/manage password)
* MS SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.760 (Intel x86)
- Desktop Engine Windows NT 5.1 (Build 2600: service pack 1)

Special Notes:
* XP Install was an "Upgrade" Install
* Sharepoint Team Services 2002 - installed but then UN- INSTALLED.
* The ASP sample pack appears to create Visual Studio sub-directories.

Just wanted everyone to know, that I have tryed the following with no change
in the result:
1) Disabled all non MS Config Services (msconfig) - Reboot
2) Erase %temp% files
3) Share folder for c:\inetpup\wwwroot - Named wwwroot$

Any Other Idea's?
