visual studio .net setup : Express Web Dev breaks VS 2003/IIS

Eager to get started working with the new things in VS 2005 & .net 2.0 I
pulled down the Express Web Dev to get a lighter view of the tools before
putting VS 2005 in place.

Well EWD has apparently broken my dev setup with its 'own web server' that
directs to random ports for 'security'. Nice!

Okay here it the question:
I intend on putting VS 2005 on the box and thought perhaps Express Visual
Web Dev might be a handy tool to go hand in hand.... now... I envision
working primarly with VS 2005 in the future... What should be my course of
action to fix iis so that I can work on my dev pages?

Right now anything going to http://localhost or the http://myipaddress blows
up with page can not be found messages. Arrrrgh... new tools is a love hate

fwiw pretty sure if you read documentation first you'd find this.

Right click the desired web in the IIS console, click Properties, select the
Asp.Net tab, under Asp.Net version make a selection that tells the web which
version to use.
