In deployment project I want to get the user selected installation folder at
run-time in Installer Class "After_Install" event. I've tried
"InstallContext" object but unable to get.
Please mention the sample code in either VB.net or C#.net

I have VS2003 Enterprise Architect with latest MSDN library Oct 05. Can I
install VS2005 Pro and it's MSDN library and still have my VS2003 working as

I am writing a setup using a VS setup project, but I want to eliminate
the destination dir panel and just prereq that the homedir is already
set in a registry key.
Is it possible (without using orca) to cause the targetDir to be the
value in a registry key?

I've used VS2003 on XP SP2.
Yesterday I downloaded VS2005 CD setup disks and today I installed the
studio. The problem is that when I was asked to install documentation I faced
a dialog asking me to Repair/Remove/Reinstall. So I Reinstalled it. At the

I didn't see any instructions, recommendations or posts about installing the
VS2005 RTM on a machine that has VS2005 RC. If the RC needs to be UnInstalled
first, I assume that there is a specifically ordered list of operations to
complete, however I can find none.

Anybody know if the name of media can be determined?
Not knowing the name of the VS 2005 media has given me endless grief and
prevented me from getting it installed. As well as making me do a system
restore after each failed install attempt.
