Installations fails with "Installer was interrupted before <appname> could be" -- visual studio .net setup

I have a visual studio setup project for an ASP.NET Web
Service. The installer runs fine on XP/2000 but on all
our Windows 2003 boxes, it fails with the useless message:

"Installer was interrupted before <appname> could be
installed. You need to restart the installer to try
again."

I have grabbed an install log which I can post if that is
of any use?

Has anyone come across a similar problem before?

I believe it's a bug within MS installer program. Check the following link
