VS 2k3 Academic, Activation Problem Leo

visual studio .net setup:
Today, I formatted a new hard drive for my PC, and installed Visual Studio
..NET 2003 Academic on it.

Upon opening it for use, I am prompted to activate my product via the
Activation Wizard. When I select "Activate by using the Internet" and click
"Next", a dialog box opens, informing me that "According to our records, this
copy of Visual Studio .NET 2003 Academic - English has already been activated
on the maximum number of computers allowed."

I can recall installing and activating this product twice in the last year
or so. Apparently I am not allowed anymore than two activations.

Had I known that this problem would arise, I would have thought twice about
formatting my original drive with a working version.

I'm in a bit of a bind now because I use VS to complete school assignments
at home. What I'm wondering is if it's possible to deactivate my previous
activations, so I can activate this one? And if this is not possible, what
other option(s) do I have?

Thank you for your time.

Leo,

I am in very much the same situation. I do not have a solution at this
time, but I am actively looking for one. If I find it, I will re-post here.
If you have any additional information, I would appreciate hearing it.

Thank you.
Jeff
