FYI here is the SQL314..mft log that was created from the script in the

SQL Server Express installation has failed here on 2 of 2 test machines. Attempts to get it installed after VS 2005 installation finishes have failed as well. One of the test machines was a brand new install of Win XP SP2 on a wiped drive, and SQL Server Express still refused to install. I'm also hoping to hear from somebody who has broken the code...
I also get a failed SQL Server 2005 installation message after having

I was successful in installing SQL express April CTP on Windows XP, but hit a wall when I tried the same installation on my Windows 2000 laptop.
