visual studio .net setup:
When i run the VS 2005 setup i get "Setup Failed. Use the following
links to research the failure."

The error log shows the following:

I would try running the .Net Framework 2.0 Beta installation by itself.
You should be able to browse the contents of the CD to run the installation
for this product.

I have exactly the same problem. I have been having it for a while. I am
running Windows 2000 on a Pentium 3 machine with the OS on the D:\ drive.

I took Tim Macaulay's advice and tried loading it by itself but it made no
difference.

I turned off all non Microsoft services and cleared out the Temp directory.

If you got your installation working, I would like to hear from you.
