visual studio .net setup:
I was told that no matter how many times I activated my product onto the same
machine (My only machine that I use vs.net with) it wouldn't decrement the
maximum 10 computers I could install the program on. I have re-formatted my
computer quite a few times this year and have had to re-install vs.net also.
This time though... I get this error that states that this program has been
installed on
the maximum amount of computers that is allowed. Excuse me? I have only this
one comp that runs vs.net and I have not done anything illegal like copying
the disk or something. Does someone know why this is happening?

Told by whom?
I believe the limit is being applied as intended (as you imply that you're
reinstalling the OS, the activation process *thinks* it's on a new
machine.), and that you'll need to contact Microsoft by telephone to get
your situation straightened out.

Yes, thats about what I think is happening. Does anyone know how to get
around that? Yes I'm going to call, I was just wondering if this was a minor
problem that would require minor fixes. Where I reeceived the information
though is here

http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/faq/default.aspx#keys

under "Product keys and Activation" just to clear that up.

Thanks for the e-mail offer,
but no need though I finally got my telephone installed into my new house
and did the activation by telephone choice and did it with their automated
system. It kicked a message saying it was unable to and gave me a customer
service person who gave me a confirmation code that worked and now I'm happy
and programming again.
Microsoft has my compliments again.
Thanks.
