I'm trying to install visual basic.net (the promotional sample) and get the
message "setup has detected that another program requires the computer to
reboot. You must reboot the computer before installing Visual Studio.NET
Prerequisites. Once the system reboots, you need to restart setup. Click OK
to reboot. Click Cancel to exit setup and install later."
I reboot and run setup again and the same message comes up. I tried
disabling the antivirus but it still comes up with the same message. I just
bought this notebook computer a week ago. And I'm unable to install the
software. If anyone has any ideas for making setup run correctly let me know.

Hey Mark,

I have seen this before, and it is normally because something is stuck in
the Pending Reboot key.
Try running the Setup.Exe from the root of the Prerequisites CD-Rom.
