visual studio .net setup: Receiving a dialog box after launching the setup program:
"A problem has been encountered while loading the setup components.
Canceling setup."

Have tried setup.exe from /vs and from /vs/setup.

An earlier install failed when the following file could not be accessed:
_17892_RTL_x86_enu_SGEN.cab
The file does exist on the DVD, I can open the CAB, but it is empty.

The install rolled back, and now it does not run at all.

It looks like your media is broken. _17892_RTL_x86_enu_SGEN.cab is 11.7 KB
(12,057 bytes) and contains a file named
FL_sgen_exe_94980_____X86.3643236F_FC70_11D3_A536_0090278A1BB8.

Since you can't find anything in the cab file, you may need to re-download
this file or ask for a new DVD to install the vsnet2005beta2.
