Rhett,
I realise that Beta Feedback was the place to go but after reporting my
problems last week on the Feedback page, I was singularly unimpressed with
the help I received - none! Particulary since it had broken an app that I
did use - MSDN Libray.
When I start off, there isn't a choice of uninstalling the VS .NET 2005. I
think that the system doesn't know that the app is installed since it
doesn't show up in the list of Add/Remove Programs.
So I reinstalled the product. Now it shows up in the Add/Remove program
list and when I start CD:\vs\Setup.exe I now see a choice of whether I want
to install or uninstall. Also, magically, the MSDN library is now populated
with all the topics. I can also start VS.NEt! There was obviously
something really bad with my previous install.
Regards,
Ed
