visual studio .net setup : vsnet 2003 prerequisites on WinXP Pro SP2

I want to install VS.net 2003 with web hosting on WinXP Pro that already has
SP2 and updates installed. The prereq instructions are to install SP2 and
critical updates AFTER adding Windows components (IIS, FP Server
Extensions).
1. What is the proper procedure if SP2 is already installed before adding
the components and then the original XP Pro CD (not SP2) is needed to
install the components?
2. Is there a security concern in this case?

Thanks

Please follow the instructions from vsnet2003, if the components are older than the current components, it will not be installed
or prompt you to select. After vsnet2003 installation completes, please run windows update, which will help you check all the
components of Windows, if there is anything need updated, it will be listed in the webpage, then follow instructions in the page
to apply patches and updates.
