VS.NET 2003 setup- "creating setup scripts" - error -- visual studio .net setup

Hi,
if I install vstudio.net 2003 from the msdn-dvd,
the install process starts and during installation the last info-text is
"creating setup scripts".
After this the install process does not go on, it hangs.
I tried it often again, but everytime the same...nothing happens, the setup
stop's. Install-info stands on the screen, no error, no info...

Can anyone help? Don't htink that this is a not known error...
system : win xp sp2

no. It was a dell preinstalled xp-version.
i setuped the laptop completely new, with another winxp-sp2 version (not
from dell)-now it runs...

HI, Jens. I am having exactly the same problem, trying to instal
VS.NET 2003 Enterprise Architect on XP-SP2 machine.

Did you ever get yours figured out?
