Each version of Visual Studio is tied to its own version of the .NET
Framework.
VS .NET 2002 - Framework 1.0
VS .NET 2003 - Framework 1.1
VS 2005 - Framework 2.0

You can use v2.0 by downloading and installing the free Visual Studio 2005
Express Editions here:
