I'm trying to install VS .NET 2005 from the MSDN disk to a machine running
Vista. During installation, I get an Insert Disk dialog that states: "Setup
is looking for file dexplore.exe. Please insert Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Professional Edition - ENU disk 1 now."

I know that VS 2005 Installs something called "SQL Server Express" as part of
its installation. I will be installing "SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition" on
the same machine for development purposes.

When I try to register COM server in debug mode I get the following error.
"This application has failed to start because COREDLL.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

Windows XP Pro SP2.
After installing Visual Studio .NET 2003 Service Pack 1, my .vbs file
association has changed. Double-clicking a .vbs VBScript file now opens the

After installing Visual Studio .NET 2003 Service Pack 1 on two machines
(both Windows XP Pro), Windows Explorer showed text files (.txt extension)

Suddenly Properties Window is disappeared in IDE of VS 2005. Click on F4 or
View\Properties Window does not help. It is very annoyed. Could somebody

We have totally switched over to VS 2005 - therefore no longer do we
need VS 2003 and want to remove it. (yea, I know it doesn't hurt
anything to keep it there but why waste disk space?)

Hi,
I am using Visual studio 2003 Enterprise. I notice that the Server explorer
has Crystal Services. If you expand this, it has a node for Crystal
Enterprises & Server files. I haven't installed Crystal reports on my system
but would like to use it.

Hi everyone,
I am having an issue where when I try to close VS 2005 and it has a
project open, then it takes a really long time (~ 1 minute) to
completely shut it down. This is unbearably slow for me. Any
suggestions?
