Which order first VS2005 or SQL2005?

Before I re-install Visual Studio 2005 (Standard Edition) and SQL
Server 2005 (Standard Edition), I wonder which order is best: Install
VS2005 first or install SQL Server 2005 first ? I read someone from SQL
newsgroup suggest install SQL Server 2005 first.

I am trying to install VS.NET 2005 (Team Ed. Arc.) on Windows Vista 5308.
The installation hangs during the "Hide_VBasicSharedDirData action..."

A strange thing; don't know what I did / inadvertently turned off / whatever...

I am trying to install Team Test on a Windows Server 2003 SP1 system that I
have already successfully installed TFS Build on. Whenever I try to launch

I have successfully installed vs2005 on two machines -- when setting up
a third however I get an error installing the document explorer here is
the log file ~ the lines that fail. I tried repairing the framework
install and reinstalling the msi hotfix, no luck.

Hi,
i m trying to install VS 2005 standard edition from CD. its the same CD
that Microsoft gave for free.
the problem is that the CD doesnt run even if i run "autorun.exe"
manually. the CD is fine.

I have PSDK April 2005 (Windows Server 2003 SP1) installed and
also:
Visual Studio 2005
Visual Studio 6.0 (+sp6)
(1) I gather that, based on the PSDK docs, the libs in that PSDK cannot be used with VS 6
for C++ because of the compiler /GS switch used to build them ?

I have a 64-bit project targeted to x64. I created a setup project for it
using VS05. The problem is I cannot set the target platform to x64 for the
setup project. It is grayed out and hence it will not build.
Has anyone else seen this and do they have an idea of what could be the issue?

Trying to install VS2005, either from MSDN CDs or from a HD copy of them:
at about 50% of "setup is loading installation components" I get a message
"A problem has been encountered while loading the setup componentes.
