visual studio .net setup : Missing SQL Server in Server Explorer

A strange thing; don't know what I did / inadvertently turned off / whatever...

I have VS2005 Pro and SQL Server 2005 (Developer). Both are independently
working well. In VS2005, when I expand the Servers node in Server Explorer, I
see all the various services but there are no SQL Servers. I have SQL Server
data connections under the Data Connections node and I'm able to use these
(and add new ones) at will. Everything seems to be working just fine except
for the missing node under Servers.

Nothing fancy about my set up. I installed all options and all defaults,
etc., and I'm certain that last week (last time I looked) I was seeing a SQL
Server node under the Servers node.

Never mind.

Just noticed the IDE newsgroup and I see the answer. I must have taken the
wrong drugs (or be mixing VS2003 functionality with VS2005 functionality).

Most likely, it's the drugs...

Glad to hear you've figured out this issue.
