Are you referring to an Athlon XP series CPU or to an A64 series CPU?

Yes. Why would you think otherwise?
The A64 CPU's have no problems with either 32 or 64 bit software.

Hi,

The reason I am asking for is please see my another thread: "VS .NET 2005
cannot install"

I have XP Prof SP2 installed and cannot install VS .NET 2005 Team edition,
it even stopped at the very first screen:
"Suite Integration Toolkit Executable encountered a problem"

Should I install IIS or SQL Server 2000/2005 before installing VS .NET 2005
?

Last night I tried to uninstall the anti-virus, AIBoost, PC Probe (these are
for AMD) but still got the same error.
It was strange that the error even happened on the first screen when loading
necessary components.

BTW, do I need to have internet connection when installing the VS .NET 2005
