SQL Server Express Edition which is included in the media of Visual Studio.
By default setting, SQL Server Express Edition has an instance name,

Would anybody help me with this?

Hi,

I am afraid the VS2005's SQL Server Express edition is unable to be
installed as a default SQL server instance.(It even could not be done via
the VS2005's UI setup program)

By the way, we don't recommend to install a SQL Server Express edition as a
machine's default SQL server instance.

Thanks for your understanding!

Best regards,
