Vs2005 Packages Croak after installing Sql Server 2005 Sp1 -- visual studio .net setup

Hi. I just updated my developer edition of sql server 2005 with sp1.
Now when I run visual studio 2005 standard, I have a package load failure on
the report designer package, the language package, and the microsoft data
transfer services designer.

I tried running the sp1 patch again, but it doesn't help.

I also forgot that: I installed
http://msdn.microsoft.com/asp.net/reference/infrastructure/wap/default.aspx
plus its prerequisite on VS2005 standard.

I ran rd /s /q
%windir%\assembly\NativeImages_v2.0.50727_32\Microsoft.VisualStu# and
rd /s /q %windir%\assembly\NativeImages_v2.0.50727_32, per Aaron Stebner's
weblog, but without success. I ran the repair on VS2005, but no good.
