Hello.

I have VS2005 Pro installed on Win XP Pro, SP2.

When i select Help/Check for Updates, it goes to the Microsoft Update page
and says there are no updates to install. Yet, when i look at the VS2005
SP1 page and select this link:
a.. Visual Studio 2005 SP1 (includes SP1 updates for Standard, Professional,
and Team Editions of Visual Studio 2005)

It takes me to a download page that says:

Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2005 Team Suite Service Pack 1

It's a 431meg file and does not look like it applies to me.

I'm totally confised about this.

Should i install this service pack?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony

I don't believe SP1 was offered through MS Update, probably because of the
download size and installation time. The download you found *is* for VS 2005
Standard and Professional Editions as well as Team System.
Do you want/need it? Depends.
