visual studio .net setup:

Hi, Can anyone help me with this, setup seems to bomb out trying to install
the document explorer dependency, how can i get around this?

I am having this EXACT same problem. Windows XPSP2 got all messed up when I
uninstalled the Google Toolbar, and I had to reinstall XPSP2.

All of my folders & directories are there, but when I try to run VS2005 I
always get an error saying a component is missing.

I run the installation CD and I get EXACTLY what Billy is having happen. I
have no clue what to try next. I have gone through the CD, the MS
knowledgebase, and everything I can think of.

If ANYONE has a clue about this PLEASE send a post. Not having VS2005 is
costing me everyday, and I do not want to format the drive unless it is my
last and only possibility.

Try these instructions to *completely* remove VS 2005 (use the manual
technique if necessary) from your system, then reinstall.
