visual studio .net setup:
Excuse probably FAQ but haven't had any luck searching.

I installed VS2005 and a whole lot of other stuff came along for the ride -
compact framework and mobile stuff mainly.

As VS2005 is installed on a large immobile brick I don't see the value in
having these components. Can I freely remove them with no adverse impact?

Yes. I never install that stuff.

Installing them won't do any harm, other than taking up a bit of disk space.

You can remove them if you don't need them.

Just like any other software, really... :-)
