Hi,
I tried installing "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Team Foundation Server MSSCCI
Provider" over a fresh vs 2003 installation.
When I go in options trying to enable team foundation server integration I
get the error:
"Method not found: 'Void
Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Msscci.Client.Context.SetSpecificIssues(Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Msscci.Client.SpecificIssuesFlags)'."

I have vs 2003 sp1 and MSSCI 1.2.

Any idea why I solve this problem?
thanks in advance for your help

Hi Carlo,

From your description, you encountered some error when try configure MSSCI
provider in VS.NET 2003, correct?

As for this issue, I'd like to confirm the following things:

**Is the problem occur right after you've installed teh MSSCI provider and
first time try configuring it?

** Have you ever met any error or exception when installing the MSSCI
provider?

** In your development environment, is there any other development tools
that will participate into the team system? I've seen some former issue
that related to integrate powerbuilder tools into team system which cause
problem.

Anyway, if possible you can provide some further information and the
detailed steps how to get the error when configure it.

Sincerely,

Steven Cheng

Hi Steven,
the MSSCCI installation went smooth and no error where displayed.
On the same box is installed VS2005, vs6 (with vss).

The error is shown when I try to set the provider on vs 2003
Tools->Options->Source Control->SCC Provider

Thank you for the response Carlo,

For the error, I'll help you consult some other engineers to see whether
they can give some clues on it. And I'll post to you if I get any update.

Also, currently for the TFS MSSCCI provider, it is not formally supported
and the recommended discussion place is the MSDN forum:

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=478&SiteID=1

In addition, the Team Foundation team's MSDN blog is also a good place that
you can have a look since some TFS team's dev engineers may monitor there:

Hi Steven,
I solved the problem with the help of Malecki from the MSSCCI provider team.
I reinstalled the provider, rollbacked other things I've done trying to make
it work (I put the assembly on the GAC) and everything works fine.

Ciao
