I tried http://localhost/localstart.asp, but it didn't work. The thing is that I can get to the test page I created: http://darren.dproduceman.local/mytest.htm and I can get to http://darren.dproduceman.local from other computers which gives me the under construction default page. However, I cannot log on to the administration page: http://darren.dproduceman.local/localstart.asp. It asks me for a password, but then just tries to load until I get an error message.

If anyone knows how to deal with IIS in a network environment, or can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

now try - http://localhost/localstart.asp
if you browsing at the server itself.

if from remove, try http://yourmachinename/
or http://yourmachine.ip/

the reason you get a login prompt because
anonymous user don't have READ permission
on the file.
