Can't access IIS5 Web admin

Hi,
I just installed IIS5 on Win2K server, and I can't seem to access the
IIS5 Web admin interface (http://myserver:2179). I keep getting a popup
saying:
"Warning! You are not using a secure connection for your web-based
administration..."

It seems that when IIS6 creates a directory to contain log files, e.g.
(C:\Logs\W3SVC1000), it sets the ACL on that directory to:
SERVER\Administrators -> Full control
SYSTEM -> Full control
Rather than allowing the newly created folder to inherit its permissions

I am getting Event ID: 37 in my event log, "Out of Process
Application /LM/w3svc/6/root terminated unexpectedly"
This happens about 3 times a day and an iisreset is the
only way I can get it back up again. I have the lated IIS

Since upgrading from IIS5 to IIS6, any websites which contain a /bin
directory no longer function, any file in the /bin directory cannot be
