Intranet site asking password

I am facing a problem in my network that suddenly my intranet site is asking
password in some of the computers as i have the network of 2000 computers and
when user are giving passowrd its showing access denied.
Can anyone help me on this as i m facing this problem and users are anoyed.

iis help file can't be accessed

http://localhost/iishelp/iis/default.htm does not access the help file. The
help file is in c:\windows\help\iishelp\iis\default.htm but there is no way
to access the file even if you try to open default.htm in a browser. What is

I am a beginner in this whole computer "thing",but I do know that my computer

It seems IIS restarts webservices after a period of time. I have installed
WebServices on a server, these WebServices maintain a state in themselves
according to the requests by client application. The problem is that these

I recently loaded Windows XP Proffessional onto my system. Everything works
great except for one "wierd" thing.....When I shut down my system, it
restarts itself in 2 or 3 minutes? Why is this happening and how can I stop

I'm getting an error when opening a web site in front page.
Server Error: Error 5 opeing regisrty key "software\classes\.application".
Where in IIS can this be resolved?
I cannot find a document that address this issue. Hopefully someone has an

I've moved my PHP from Apache to ISS. Everything is ok except for writeing
to files:

We have an internal website on IIS 5.0 (Win2000)
http://(Win2000_server_name)/site.htm which works fine.
This was copied to IIS 6.0 (Win2003) with the link of:
http://(Win2003_server_name)/site.htm and when opened it displays the html
code of the page rather than the page itself.

What do you recommend for a good software firewall that is for windows 2003
server. I have only remote access.
IT is a web server, and folks ftp. that is about it.

How can I backup the sites under IIS? I remotely manage this server and
there is no backup ability. I think it may be a good idea.
Is there a way to remotely back it up using ftp perhaps?

I've got an asp app that needs to use SSL only for certain pages. Is there a
way to shut off port 80 for certain pages (HTTS pages), but have it open for
other pages? Can this be done in IIS? OR is this something we can do testing
server variables in the asp classic vb script code?
