Best hosting for SQL Server/ASP -- inetserver asp db

If you use the SQL Server for website development only,
what type of license would you need? I think the one you
need for website development is like $25,000, now that's
expensive to most small businesses.

Get your own server if you want full control. Personally, I have a server
from www.servermatrix.com. I had a Verio server before this, but Verio's
prices are just too insane.

Also, the host must be able to allocate about 1GB to users
for their SQL Databases. I have a database with 200,000
rows and my database size is about 750MB, I tried to
shrink the file but I can't because I'm not a member of
SYSADMIN role, is there another way to decrease the size
of your sql database?

You must check with Microsoft licensing, but I believe you need a processor
licence which runs about £3k in the UK - £5k for the s/a version - per
processor.

or go for Postgres
