inetserver asp db : SQL Access issue

In my app I am uploading a text file to the IIS server. I then use a stored
procedure on the SQL server to import the text file into SQL. IIS and SQL
run on seperate computers. Currently they are in a workgroup configuration.
The problem I am having is the SQL server does not have access to the IIS
server. Someone has recommended that we create a d omain and grant the SQL
server rights on the IIS server. Is this the only way to fix this or could
we create a user account on the IIS server that would fix this. I am not
sure what account is being used by the SQL server when the request for data
on the IIS server is made. Would it be the account that SQL runs under?

Thanks for your help!
