coldfusion flash integration:
I think this problem I am having may have been touched on in another thread, but it did not exactly cover my issue. I have a Flash form that works fine. However if the page is refreshed, or re-entered in any way, the submit button on the form no longer works. If I refresh the page again, I occasionally get a "Library 1 of 1" with an indicator that it is 40% loaded. If I refresh the page again, I may get the same thing. Only when I see the "initializing" message for the form will the submit button work properly. This works the same way on multople machines with multiple browser types. The problem is that once a user submits a form and then opts to go back and enter the same form again with different information, unless the user refreshes the page a couple of times manually, the submit button will not work. Is there a setting that I can use to force the form to properly refresh when the page is refreshed or re-entered? I am at a loss otherwise. Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, this form does not work very well in Firefox, the submit button will not work no matter how many refreshes, navigation on the form by mouse is not possible either. Does Firefox have a problem with Flash forms in general? Steve
the swf is on a page all by itself? is any info passed to it? flash is the same as html as far as form submissions it sounds like there's some data that you're passing around isn't there on refresh or backpage
Following your implied suggestion, I removed all except the actual form from the page. I would say that it "seems" to work better, but I still received the error a couple of times. As long as I get the "initializing" message when the form is loading, I am OK. It is when I get the "Library 1 of 1" message that I am done for. There is no information that is passed to the page that is not contained in the page itself, i.e. queries for dropdowns. Is it possible that this is just a timing issue? I'm not sure what the "Library 1 of 1" message indicates. Steve
