flash exchange extensions:
Hi Is anyone else having this problem? When I try to upload my mxp to the flash exchange (the file is 260K, btw), I'm getting a Java.IO.Exception, "Not enough space".... ??? How do I get past this so I can start uploading files to the exchange again? Thanks
I've experienced it before, but i've forgot how i solve the prob :smile; may be - some tag in mxi file
Thanks for replying... I don't think there's anything wrong with the mxp because the the extension manager says it was created 'successfully'... also, what's funny about this is that I tried uploading other extensions that I have uploaded successfully in the past- and they fail to upload with the same error! It makes me think there's something wrong with the 'exchange' server. I emailed the people at Adobe and they said it was a 'known error', but still nothing has been done about this. I can't really understand how I can be the only one with this problem, when every mxp I try to upload fails, and I'm using IE and firefox (on PC) with always the same result- "not enough space". I have gotten this error in the past, btw, but it always worked after a couple tries... now it just seems broken completely.
Anybody have any new info on this? Still can't upload files...
Hi all...I have already uploaded 3 components to exchange (wiith 2 adobe approval stamp)...but currently I am not being able to upload to exchange ....even the MXP that I onec uploaded to the exchange can not be uploaded ..I tried a lot and checked the MXI files for errors in tags..(spent for more than 3 days doing it) and still the exchange throws error when I tried to upload it to exchange! May be a bug in the exchange? You can test it too...just download any MXP from the exchange and triy to upload it to exchange (cancel ifyou succeed)...I bet you can not upload it... hope they fix it soon.
Yeah i guess it's still broken... I was able to get my extensions up by emailing community-manager@macromedia.com (I think flash-exchange@macromedia.com) and when someone responded they let me send the mxp file via email attachement. It works, but it means you have to wait for them to respond, which isn't great. I'm really surprised they haven't fixed this yet! Come on Adobe, can you get on this please?!
I've just tried to upload my extension & failed too... now i get the same prob.. flextnet post his message on 10/24/2006, & today is 12/08/2006, what takes adobe so long to fix the problem?
