flash (macromedia): I'm very new to using Flash MX. I have a short .mov clip that I want to put on my home page. I want to edit it so the edges are feathered, but I don't know what software I need to do that. Can anyone help?

Also, when I import the .mov file into Flash it gets very pixelated. Why?

for small movie I would go Flash , just place layer of whatever you need on top of it .

most likely due the quality your choose upon import .
try variety of settings ....
