flash (macromedia): Hi,

Before I pull all my remaining hair out can anyone help me with mpg video import? I have imported a small mpg file and placed it on a screen (slide) within a presentation. I want to create a button that will start the video when the user views that screen and presses the button.

I've messed with creating a button and adding behaviors but I cannot stop the video clip from automatically playing every time I invoke the swf presentation file. How do I stop it from playing until I reach that screen and press "start".

Any help appreciated!

Many thanks
Paul

[quoted text, click to view]

why not just import video to movie clip, once it is in movie clip you can control
it like any movie clip ....

Thanks Urami but that's the problem. I import it to a movie clip but I cannot get a button component to control it. I have "on click" "show video instance" as button behavior. It does not work.

Any ideas?

Paul
