I squeezed video to swf with Sorenson. I can play the 12mb video with the Flash Player, I can open the movie and play it with Flash MX, but when I import this swf into a document /scene or into the library I get no audio and only black frames. What am I doing wrong?

Have you created a preloader for the movie? Maybe it needs that so the computer can swallow some of the audio data before it starts playing.

OFF THE SUBJECT
How do you like Sorenson? I made a movie once using "simulated video" by www.mantaproductions.com My project came out pretty nice. Check it out if you have time at:

http://www.edpead.com

After you enter (or skip intro), click Gallery then Video and you will have two choices, the small version that will fit in the black screen area (runs pretty nice on slower computers) or a Full Screen version. First time through it chokes a bit but second time through it works pretty good.

Thanks a lot, Urami.
Have to Squeeze my movie to a (320x240) mov, I guess, before import in Flash (to ad a preloader)

I've got Sorenson 3.1 Suite. I thinks it's doing the job pretty well. (maybe read the review om the 'creative cow'). Saw your movie. Small looks much better than big.
All the best,

not all SWF can be imported to flash , for instance I had the same problem with
Flix which converts video to SWF, it is to play these files in player or load in level
not for editing in fla .
Plus , SWF does not mention audio upon import, never did .
You would be better off importing the video directly to flash .

i noticed that the small orange box showing how much of the video has played
is broken. if you click on it shoots away to the left of the video image,
and up a bit. when you release it stays about 1/3 of the way up the video...
