Is there a way to protect the swf files in order to they could not be decompiled?? Thanks

Yes there is. Go to File- Publish Settings. Then click the "Flash" tab. On the options list, check "Protect from import". If you want you can also password protect it. You can do this after doing the above, then type in a password in the password box.

no there is not and there nothing you can do .
Why ?
Because the flash player must be able to read the code in order to run your file.
There is an extend to which you can jam the file , rename variable etc...
if you mess it too much it will start to malfunction , therefor all the decompiling tools can read it too. After all SWF is an open format so anyone
can do whatever tools they like whether it is ethical or not .

which by the way can be removed with notepad in less than a minute.

That does not protect from decompilation at all.

Indeed, the 'protect from import' does not provide any effective protection
at all and is a waste of time.
