[quoted text, click to view] > I am a new user to Flash, and am wanting to learn how to use it to its full capabilities. Does anyone know of any books/Videos/DVD's that are really good to learn from? If you do, is it possible to supply the Title, Author and ISBN number?
honestly I would not suggest getting a book now.
first the documentation itself is not yet done , there is plenty missing
especially part that covers latest features.
Very common of macromedia , they do it all the time .
The experience is too short for anyone to give you more than
basic flash use for dummies sort of book. Even though it was for many months in beta
and others had the time to use it , still w/o knowing final assemble they could not
get too familiar with the application and its abilities.
I would suggest strongly getting flash MX books instead. Flash MX 2004 introduce ActionScript 2.0 but still fully support 1.0 and 1.0 is way powerful
and really well
documented all over the web and in multiple books . And it will be supported
in the future most likely , plus most of us still work in it .
Like me me for instance , I remove MX 2004 and back to MX , it's worst release so far with bugs , badly organized interface , useless changes and
reduced features
which make the workflow really slow . Not to mention application falling apart.
Slow beyond my patience.
Plus on top of it , flash MX will be very cheap now , you have access to great materials
for a low cost.
check moock.org and link to his book . I would guess is the most popular book in the
community . Moock himself is great flash developer .
