flash (macromedia):
I'm using a trial version of flash professional and tried to open a .fla created in flash mx. I get an error messge that says "Unexpected file format". Is this a bug in my trial or do I need to do something special to open an older version .fla?

are you trying to open or import? you should be able to open no problem.. I used the trial version and had no problem opening my MX fla files. Maybe check the publish settings and set to flash 6 version before opening?

This issue so far only has been reported (as far as I know) with pirated
copies of Flash. As this is not the case I'd strongly suggest reporting this
to support at macromedia thtrough:

The software I have is from a product launch so it's probably okay. Thanks for the tip though.
