flash (macromedia): Dropped the big money on the professional 2004 version.
Specifically for the enhanced video elements.

I've fouind the opposite benefits then ehat is listed inthe MAcromedia documentation on video embedding ans flv.

I'm dynamically loading and controlling an flv with a flash projector,.
netstream(0.play etc..

It loads and plays but is very inconsistent and almost always out of sync with the audio.
I'm limited by disk space so I've tried all different data rates, ket frames, etc.

I was under the impression the benefit refrenceing a flv was that you WOULD NOT have audio sync problems. I get better results by embedding the movie directly in the flash file, (But it takes too long to export out.)

Please help

I'm past my deadline and I made promises based on macromedia's promises.

Frustrating Huh?
Likewise, I was a month into a FlashMX Projector project before I finally
stumbled across the fact that any video would have to load entirely into
RAM on the user's computer. So I talked my instructor into shelling out for the
Flash 2004 Prof. I've done the tutorials and futzed til I'm blue in the face
but all I come up with so far is that this, on a Mac/Panther anyway, is
one buggy program that might have made some stockholders happy but
certainly doesn't seem ready for release.
In my case the flv plays fine when embedded into a track but is out of sync
when played through a component!
Yuck. How demoralizing.

The evidence.
Here's the flv embedded into a swf.
http://www.johnhumphrey.com/saves/anothervidtest_embedded.html
Here's the same flv streamed progressively
http://www.johnhumphrey.com/saves/anothervidtest.html
the video is playing a few frames ahead of the audio
And here's the kicker- what happens when I place this very same flv as
a media display/controller into the Flash MX project it was intended for.
http://www.johnhumphrey.com/saves/scott_add_video_test.html
Note: this wasn't meant to end up on the net, it was going to end up
as a Projector.
Anybody out here getting this new stuff to work properly. Can you tell
me what platform, version etc.
Some other issues (Final Cut Pro 4.1. Quicktime Professional 6.4 running
on Panther 10.3.1)
Quicktime won't play the exported flv's! The only way I can check the flv
is through flash itself i.e. embed it to discover the audio/video is in sync.
And where do I correct the Gamma for Mac/PC versions? The Flash
video exporter out of Final Cut Pro doesn't allow any adjustments in that
area.
Come on up to the plate and let's sort this out.
