You don't import your font into the library. What you must do is this. Make sure you have the desired font in your fonts folder. Now open up flash and and choose the text tool. Make sure it is static text and choose your font. Using static text automatically embeds the font into your movie and anyone should be able to see it.

Now if you are using the dynamic text, you must embedd the text. You must look in the properties inspector and choose the Character button and the when that opens up, choose all characters.

That should do it.

Hmm not entirely true. At least not the only option. Open up the library
panel and from the dropdown behind the little icon in the upper right
corner, choose 'new font'. Pick any font that is displayed, name it,
check/uncheck any options and it will be in your library. More info in the
manual.

Laiverd,

Oh, I didn't know that. You learn something new with flash all the time. I have always manually embedded fonts, That's why I gave that advice which is the only way I knew. Can I ask a question? When you place a font in the library as you say, Will that automatically embed the font into the project enabling people who don't have the font to see it?

Just wondering, thats all.

Cheers.

I must say that it is a bit tricky and I have not gotten the complete hang
of it yet, but the font in the library will also show up in the fontlist of
the properties panel (somewhere in that list of fonts installed on your
system). Haven't figured out all the details yet, but have been playing
around with some of the examples in the manual (which sometimes require a
bit of hacking ;-) as I needed a specific font for dynamically created
textfields. Not much more info from me in this case. Suggest you play around
with it a little.
