Maximum Image widths in Flash? Danimal66

flash (macromedia):
Is there a maximum image width in Flash? I have an image strip I want to scroll, the image is 4000 pixels wide, but Flash will not display it when I publish my movie.

When I look at it in flash it is cut off on the stage.

Is this a known issue?

If so does anyone know of any documentation on it? I have searched the Macromedia site to no avail.

2880 is the max width and height - no way around it - it stems from the fact that flash is a scaleable tool and they solution is to usually scale your graphics (vector) down to edit them if wider or taller than 2880 then scale back up - but if you're using a bitmap then you are limited - if this is an animation ultimately for video - i would composite in After Effects.
