Has anyone else experienced something like their dynamic text boxs' text disapears when the text box is located inside a nested movie clip? The weird thing is, since I have a scroll bar attached to the text box, the scrollbar reads as if the text is there. I can scroll the bar... select text... copy and paste the text from the box... but no text displayed... weird....

any suggestions?

device option? where might that be... I see on a static text box there is a check box for use device fonts... but I don't see that on the dynamic text box..

I got the exact same problem.

My Dynamic textfield is within a symbol that loads in a mask.
I can see that there is a textfield, the cursor indicates that, but there is no text displayed.

If I place the exact same textfield in the first frame of the movie, It appears just fine.

Need help badly!

I would search forum by subject if you really need help badly ,
it was discussed hundreds of times .

Include font outlines , flash does not render text under mask nor it can apply color
effects if the text does not have outlines included .

It is covered as well in help and macromedia online technotes.

Search prior to posting might prove to be really useful , especially when you
need to meet your deadline .
