Hi,

I was having alot of trouble trying to get the TextArea working then i realized i was publishing to ActionScript 1. Changed my publishing settings to ActionScript2 and then my TextArea worked just fine.

In help no where does it say the textarea component is only to be used for ActionScript2... it was pretty frustrating especially after reading a guide on if I should use AS2 or not and nothing like this was mentioned.

V2 components are written in ActionScript 2.0.
