flash (macromedia) : MP3 & Firewall issue

Hi.

I successfully built an MP3 player with Flash MX that loads the MP3 off my server.

However, when my Firewall is up, the MP3 doesn't load.
Similar problems occur when certain antivirus software is armed.

Someone recommended to me that I should try opening the port that is required for the MP3 to play?
Is this the right direction I should be taking?
If so, how do I do that?

Thanks!

Thank you very much for your reply.

Would you be able to point me in the direction of how I can go about ensuring that the MP3 loaded by the Flash object goes through port 80?

Thanks.

Yes , it is a right direction.
You need to open port in which the sound coming through and once
open should be fine .

I don't use firewall much and my clients as well but I remember Port 80 is the HTTP traffic .
By going on port 80, the firewall assumes the app is HTTP traffic, and safe.
You take a tunnel through the firewall, basically
as long as you not loading sound from a different port there should be no problem.
